Dear friends, family, and community,

I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart, but also with hope and gratitude. My dear childhood friend Chris Rippin is facing a unimaginable challenge, and I'm compelled to share his story with you in the hopes that you'll consider lending a helping hand.

As many of you know, Chris is a kind, compassionate, and multifaceted individual who has always put the needs of others before his own. Two years ago, he made the selfless decision to leave behind his successful career as a music therapist in Vancouver, so that he could return to Vancouver Island and care for his elderly mother and other seniors in his community. He was living his dream, surrounded by the beauty of the ocean and the peace of the island.

But life has taken a devastating turn. Chris has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. (July 2025) and he's currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment. The road ahead is long and difficult, and I want to make sure that Chris has the support he needs to fight this battle with courage and dignity. Chris would like to take a more natural route in his treatment and this costs money.

That's why I am reaching out to friends, family, colleagues, and anyone who is willing to help Chris with the mounting medical costs and living expenses. Every dollar counts, and every gesture of kindness and compassion will bring us closer to getting Chris the care and support he deserves.

Chris is more than just a friend - he's a shining example of love, kindness, and generosity. He's a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always hope, always love, and always a way forward.
