Hi my name is Jennifer and I am fundraising for my husband Robert. We recently found out he has a tumor and ulcer on the back of his tongue. They are going to remove it, but he will lose his tongue. He will be in icu for a few days, the hospital hopefully only for a week. It is a 12 hour surgery. Hopefully. This is his 3rd round of tongue cancer and he loses a bit more of his tongue each time. They will take part of his thigh muscle to build the back of his tongue so he will be able to swallow. He will have to learn how swallow and hopefully talk again. We hope he will talk again. The surgery is in Cleveland which is an hour and a half away. We are asking for help with gas and all the bills. He will have a tracheotomy while in the hospital and a feeding tube for at least 3 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
