Donate to help Catriona's cancer treatment

Hello,

In late 2023, our beautiful mother Catriona was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Since then she has been undergoing chemotherapy which, although we’re very thankful to say has been going incredibly well, has taken its own toll on her health and wellbeing.

After spending the last three weeks in hospital for a variety of problems with her lungs (and two operations) caused by the cancer, her doctors have advised that they now wish to move her on to a new chemotherapy drug that has just become available on the Australian market.

Through research we have done supplied to us by other cancer survivors, we have discovered that this specific chemotherapy responds particularly well when done in tandem with Hydrogen Therapy - which will also, hopefully, help with the lung issues she has been having.

We are fundraising in the hopes of being able to subsidise the cost of renting/buying the hydrogen therapy machine and ongoing treatment, as well as a little extra to help mum and our dad Peter with the expenses that go along with lengthy battles with diseases such as cancer.

Such expenses include:

- Money for petrol for the two-hour round trip they undertake each week to the hospital in Wollongong for chemo/blood tests (sometimes up to 2-3 times a week).

- Expensive parking fees at the hospital.

- Basic amenities (food out during these visits etc.)

Throughout this journey, we have already been on the receiving end of an unbelievable amount of support from our friends, family, and community at large and we are so thankful. Any amount able to be donated would be hugely appreciated, and an equally huge weight off of Peter and Catriona’s backs.
