Hi my name is Jess and the cat you see is Catastrophe. She’s 5 and a half years old.

On 9/11/25 I took her to the Emergency Vet as she was not acting herself. We ended up discovering she had bladder stones. A lot of bladder stones. They gave us a choice of a $6,000 cystotomy or an anti inflammatory shot. I chose the anti inflammatory shot and sent us on our way.

We got the full scope of everything yesterday when we met with her normal vet.

They confirmed she does need surgery, and that the inflammation from the stones are causing pain. I need to schedule it before i go back to work on 10/15 so i can be with her fully while she recovers. She’s had so many health issues (FHS, megacolon, food allergies) that we’ve got managed. We didn’t get this far just to quit here.

Currently I’m on short term disability and im only getting paid enough to just pay my bills. Before I can schedule I need to pay my CareCredit down as her other issues in the past 2 months have racked up $2800. Her surgery is going to cost $1200.
