Cat is a dear friend, Tante, and "mom" to many, and she's recently found out that she has a massive fibroid growing in her uterus. Doctors have said the growth is larger than a full-term baby, and it is pressing on her organs and making life extremely uncomfortable for her.

On April 28th, 2025, Cat is having major abdominal surgery in Whitehorse to remove the fibroid and other benign growths, as well as a full hysterectomy. The recovery time will be lengthy, and although some of the travel costs will be covered by the Yukon's medical travel policy, many of those costs are due upfront.

Cat is still trying to recover financially from her time away from work due to carpal tunnel injury and surgery, so this upcoming procedure is causing a lot of stress. Any amount you can donate will be used to cover upfront travel costs and to reduce the financial stress Cat will face as she recovers from her abdominal surgery.

Cat's been in Dawson for almost 20 years now, and in that time she's touched the lives of many people, not to mention her friends and family in Quebec.
