Donate to help Cassidy fight her illness

Hi my name is Meaghan and my very best friend Cassidy has just found out she has histoplasmosis…. A serious fungal infection caused by bat feces which her landlords neglected to take care of even after several complaints by Cassidy. If left untreated, this infection can be fatal.

Cass started having symptoms months ago such as severe chest pain and high fevers. Doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong until she went to an infectious disease hospital in Ottawa today where she got her diagnosis. Cass has been admitted to the hospital and was told this will be a long recovery and she may even have life long symptoms.

Of course she will be unable to work at this time while she goes through this long recovery. If anyone knows Cass you know that she’s been through a lot in her short life and could definitely use some support to take some stress off her and her family. Cassidy also has a young son, Jack who will need to be looked after and supported, along with her boyfriend Chris and his son Blaine.
