Hi, my name is Carlton Fleming; my wife Martha and I are fundraising for our dear family friend Carmen Garcia, who lost everything because of a devastating kitchen fire. Her daughter and family dog, Maverick, were in the home when the fire broke out. Her daughter escaped the fire unharmed; however, Maverick suffered severe smoke inhalation and had to be resuscitated before being rushed to the hospital and placed in an oxygen chamber.

The fire department has classified her house as uninhabitable; as a result, Carmen and her children (our God Children) do not have a place to live. Those of you who have met Carmen know that she is a beautiful person and that she is always the one who helps others, and now is our opportunity to help her.

Currently, the three most urgent needs are: One, raising funds to secure a home for Carmen and her children; two, covering the emergency medical expenses for Maverick; and three, replacing furniture and clothing that were unsalvageable from the fire.
