Captain Roman Smolcic had septic shock as a result of an infection that lead to multiple organ failures. It is a miracle that he is still here and has been in the hospital for 10+ days now. He is on his way to recovery and now has to work on regaining his strength and health. Roman's wife, Shannon, and their three young children, will need help with a vast amount of medical expenses as they work through this very difficult time. Roman is anxious to get out of the hospital and get home to his family so he can work on long term wound care for his legs and his overall physical strength and health. Roman has been a charter boat captain in the Depoe Bay community for most of his life, and is anxious to recover so that he can support his family and further his career. Anything anyone can spare helps, and 100% of all proceeds here go straight to Roman and his medical expenses as he and his family navigate this difficult time.
