Hi, my name is Alexander and I’m running the Newport Marathon on 19th April in support of Cancer Research Wales.

This cause is personal to me. I lost my grandad to lung cancer eight years ago, and my other grandad has been living with stage 4 kidney cancer for the past 19 years, defying the odds every single day thanks to cancer research. Seeing both sides of this disease has shown me how important continued research and treatment are.

I’m taking on this marathon to help fund the research that gives people more time, better treatment, and more hope.
