Hi, my name is Nye and, as you may know, I lost my best friend, Shuggie (Hugh), to cancer in December, 2021.

Shug dedicated a lot of his time working with the charity, Cambridge Online, to deliver education and tools to those who needed support getting online. From cycling around Cambridgeshire during the pandemic, dropping off tablets so that people could stay connected, to running courses to help members of the community take advantage of all the opportunities available to them online, Shuggie and Cambridge Online did, and continue to do, really important work. By ensuring that as many people as possible have access to the internet and the skills they need to navigate and take advantage of it, they provide a safe learning space, a platform and even a community for so many in Cambridgeshire.

On March 5th, 2023, I will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon, to raise money for Cambridge Online in Shug's memory. Any donation, no matter how small, would go a long way to supporting this fantastic charity and its work.
