Hello, my name is Jai, and I am fundraising for my rescue cat Bully, who needs urgent double eye-removal surgery, and I’m trying to raise $2,900 so he can finally live without constant pain.

Bully is 8 years old. I rescued him off the streets before I knew how unwell he really was. Bully is FIV+ , and over time it’s caused horrific eye issues — one eye is already blind, and the other has become enlarged, swollen, and incredibly painful. His medicine for his eyes only worked temporarily, now both eyes are worse than they were before and you can just see how uncomfortable he is all the time.

Despite his tough-sounding name, Bully is the gentlest, sweetest boy. He’s soft, loving, and has never had a mean bone in his body. He follows me everywhere and trusts me completely. I just want to give him the life he deserves after surviving the streets.

We have spent months trying to get him help.

I’ve contacted every vet, every clinic, every rescue, charity, and organisation I could find. No one will accept him or help him because of his FIV and the severity of his condition. Even his regular vet has stopped offering any treatment — they’ve told me they can’t do anything more for him unless he gets the eye surgery.

So he’s stuck in pain, and I’m stuck watching him decline, trying everything and getting nowhere.

Double enucleation (removal of both eyes) is the only option to stop his suffering. Cats adjust amazingly well to blindness — but they can’t adjust to constant pain. With this surgery, Bully can still have many happy years ahead, pain-free, safe, and loved.

I hate asking for help, but I don’t have $2,900 on my own. I’ve exhausted every avenue trying to help him already. This GoFundMe is my last hope to give Bully the life he deserves.
