Donate to help Borinqueneer Grill

Hi Everyone! It's Monica Ramirez here!

I'm reaching out in the hope that you will be able to help me raise funds for one of my closest friends, aka My Broski, Omar Martinez and the Borinqueneer Grill Food Truck.

As many of you already know, Omar was the owner and dance instructor of Mambo101 in the Bronx, NY. Although he loved his Salsa Studio and the community, he also had other passions. He knew he would move to Florida one day and own his own food truck. That passion became a reality in April 2022. The Borinqueneer Grill is dedicated to his father's time as a Borinqueneer (Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment) in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Now that Hurricane Ian has ravaged large parts of Florida, including the Busch Gardens area in Tampa where the Borinqueneer Grill is located, all of Omar's perishables had to be thrown out due to the power outage last night. As of today, there is still no power. Thankfully the truck itself only suffered minor physical damage.

The funds received will be used to replenish the food that perished on the truck and the food that was stored in a backup freezer.

Please help me help Omar get back on his feet. Any donation is much appreciated! If you cannot donate, please share this story.

Thank you all!
