My name is Kathy Fitzgerald. I am raising funds for a dear friend who is going through cancer for the third time and having his third surgery. Bob has been a resident of Yarnell for over 7 years.( a tiny town of 700) Previously Bob was an over the road trucker who travelled with his loving companion Brandy, his dog for many years. When Bob moved to Yarnell he became well liked and respected as a reliable friend and a great handyman. He was frequently seen in town riding his bicycle for exercise or walking one of his foster dogs. Always wearing his colorful neon t-shirts he was given the nickname NEON BOB!

Bob also drives a 37 year old work truck that he is very proud of. This is his only mode of transportation.

Last year, Bob had a large cancerous lesion on top of his hand, which was removed. A few months later the cancer showed up again in his armpit, which again was removed. Bob drove himself for 19 radiation treatments to Prescott (66 miles round trip).

That's a total of 1,254 miles in his 37 year old truck. All was well until about a month ago and it was discovered that the cancer is back affecting his arm and the main artery there. A vascular surgeon was called in with the oncologist for surgery. The very first and second cancer treatment costs were paid by Medicare with a $10,000. out of pocket cost/deductible which Bob paid as treatments went along. With his nest egg now depleted as the third surgery is happening we know there will be more to pay out of pocket. We are asking for $ 10,000. to be raised for Bob to be able to pay these expenses. This would help immensely in the upcoming bill.
