Helping Ben Brown fight Pancreatic Cancer

Hello everyone; my name is Matthew Paul Schauster.

I am sure most of you know my best friend, Ben Brown, but many of you might not know he is undergoing treatment for Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. His treatments have been a drain on not just his physical and mental health but his finances as well.

Sadly a teacher's insurance is not the best, and treatments, medicines, appointments and follow-ups not only cost money but prevent him from working and earning the money he needs to just survive. The money raised will be used to pay for those treatments, medications, follow ups and help cover his missed work; which is 20% of his work week as he has treatments every Friday.

I have never liked the idea of social media fundraising before, but I can see the need at a time such as now. Ben has never been one to ask for help; he takes on the world by himself often and is the type of man to help you fight your battles and carry your burdens, but I have been through this with friends before, and I know it takes an army to win these fights.

I appreciate anything you can do to help, be it helping Ben because he is an amazing guy or just helping a stranger in need.
