Help Us Support Belle’s Cancer Treatment
Target: £4,000 to help cover vet costs not included in insurance
Our lovely dog Belle has recently been diagnosed with large-cell lymphoma, a type of cancer affecting her gastrointestinal system. She’s now undergoing chemotherapy, alongside treatment for anaemia and pancreatitis.
The vets at the Royal (Dick) Vet School have been amazing, and thankfully, Belle is responding really well. Her blood count is back up, she avoided the transfusion we were expecting, and over the past week she’s been much more like her old self — alert, playful, and full of that quiet, determined energy we know and love.
The total cost of treatment is expected to be around £11,000. Our insurance will cover up to £7,000, which leaves us with a £4,000 gap — a tough amount for us to manage on our own. That’s why we’re asking for help.
Belle has many friends and is very much part of the community — she’s known and loved by so many people.
She has an important role in the places we spend time together.
Depending on the day, Belle might be:
Art class life model at Look and Draw
Floor-sweeper and snack hoover at The Safari Lounge
Eater of site gloves at Hidden Door
Chief moral officer, wherever she goes
Owner of all the balls and sticks, everywhere else
And all-round party dog to her many human pals
Whether she’s snoozing on her studio sofa or joyfully dragging home a stick three times her size, Belle brings happiness to so many people. We’d love to give her the best chance at more time — more walks, more cuddles, more stick fun.
If you’re able to donate or share this fundraiser, we’d be hugely grateful. Every penny will go directly toward Belle’s treatment and care.
Thank you so much,
Jill & Belle
