As a lot of you know, we got to meet sweet Charlie through an emergency C-section on January 8, 2025! Her heart rate was very high, so they immediately sent Allison to Labor and Delivery! Everything seemed to be going perfectly until the next morning when Charlie’s heart rate went up extremely high again! With this, she was transferred to another hospital into the NICU. They thought they had got her settled with new medication, and Charlie was released home, where it happened again, and she was once again readmitted into the NICU. Nathan and Allison have been by her side and trying to go back and forth to also see Ben! With multiple emergency admissions and Nathan having to take time from work to be with Allison and Charlie, things will start to get tight.

Allison will be unable to return to work as she will have to stay home with Charlie to ensure that she gets her medicine and stays healthy, plus the doctor visits that they will be attending to ensure that Charlie’s medications continue to work properly.

Allison and Charlie are still in the NICU as of now and are reaching out to UVA to see if they will have any other options. If you are able to donate, Nathan and Allison would be so grateful as they are having to have food delivered and bills will be arriving very soon! So far, they have had an emergency C-section and 3 NICU admissions.
