Donate to help Aurora fight stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer
Donation protected
On Saturday, March 22, 2025 my sweet 11 month old niece Aurora was taken to the Children's Hospital after her parents, my sister Jessica and brother in-law Joey, noticed a lump near her eye, along with bruising underneath and fevers that had been occurring off and on for a couple of weeks. Upon arrival, Aurora underwent immediate testing and an MRI, but no one could have prepared them for the devastating news: their precious baby girl had been diagnosed with high-risk metastic neuroblastoma cancer. It's a diagnosis no parent should ever have to hear. Aurora’s condition includes a mass on her kidney and mass near her eye. Since then, she has endured numerous x-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds, a biopsy, bone marrow testing, and blood transfusions.
Aurora has a long and challenging journey ahead of her, which will include multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, stem cell transplant, surgery, immunotherapy, and a combination of both in-patient and out-patient treatments. In between these procedures, there will be periods of recovery and, unfortunately, likely hospital stays due to fever or infections. Throughout all of this, Jessica and Joey will be doing their best to maintain some sense of normalcy for their family. Aurora’s first birthday is April 17th, and while they had imagined celebrating with cake and friends, they never thought they’d be spending it isolated in a hospital room. With Jessica’s maternity leave coming to an end and her inability to return to work while caring for Aurora, the financial support from friends and family will be a huge help. Please continue to keep Aurora in your thoughts and prayers, and send as much positive energy as possible their way.
Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to our family.
