My name is Sarah and I am raising money for my boyfriend, Ashton Appleby.

Ashton is not one to ask for help and several friends have reached out asking how they can support Ashton through this difficult time. I created this gofundme for him so any friends or family that would like to help have a place to do it.

Since the storm, Ashton has gone back and fourth by boat every day bringing supplies, fuel and people to and from Matlacha and St. James City. He’s been out there 14hr days doing whatever he can to help rebuild the place that he loves. He hasn’t stopped since, getting little to no sleep but still out the door before sunrise every morning and getting home after the sun sets. His strength, compassion and resilience amazes me.

We are so fortunate that we were safe from the storm but the house and all of Ashton’s belongings were not. We now are in a position where we have to start over. Anything helps and it will be used for fuel and supplies for the boat, a place to live and replacing essentials that were lost in the storm. Thank you!
