Donate to help an amazing young man named Bailey

Hi, we are Karen and Paul and we have put together this GoFundMe for an amazing young man, named Bailey, who is doing it tough at the moment.

Bailey was born with cerebral palsy and a rare genetic disorder called sotos syndrome. Ever since puberty and due to the sudden growth spurts there have been too many hospital visits to count and in the past year and we’ve sadly seen a decline in Bailey’s health. He now spends most of his time at home and in bed.

The reason we have setup this page is to raise funds to help with Bailey's care and comfort while he navigates this next chapter under palliative care. For example, an air conditioning unit to be installed into their family home. We are coming into summer and their small air conditioning unit really doesn’t suffice for the hot and humid days we get here in QLD. It was never really an issue before but now with Bailey home during the day it’s becoming more of an issue. The humidity and heat unfortunately adds to the discomfort and pain this poor kid feels on a daily basis.

We love this family and have seen them do everything for Bailey to help him live his best life. We just want to do our little bit to help them.

If we get more funding than what is necessary for an air conditioning unit we would absolutely love for the family to use it to throw Bailey a memorable 16th birthday party next year. We aren’t sure how many more birthdays this kid has in him so it would be so great to have a party that would allow for all his family and friends from all over Australia to visit him since he can’t get to them.
