I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for the Alzheimer’s charity because this cause means more to me than any other. My Grandad suffered with Alzheimer’s and sadly passed away in December 2025, and now my Nan is currently going through it too. Seeing the impact this disease has had on the people I love has been heartbreaking, and it has shown me just how devastating Alzheimer’s can be, not only for those living with it but for their families as well. By taking part in this run, I want to honour my Grandad, support my Nan, and help raise vital funds and awareness so that others affected by Alzheimer’s can receive better care, support, and hope for the future
