Donate to help Alicia Dana get a gravel bike!

Hi, my name is Amy Caldwell, and I am an owner of the West Hill Shop in Putney, VT. I am starting a fundraiser to help Alicia Dana get a new gravel bike.
Alicia is a native of Putney. She grew up cross-country skiing in the local BKL league and started racing bikes when she started at the Putney School. During the fall of her senior year in high school, Alicia fell out of a tree and was paralyzed from the waist down. When Alicia finally got a handcycle roughly seven years later, it was truly a blessing. She regained her athletic identity and could put her vast athletic talent to good use. Alicia has since participated and medaled in the last 3 Paralympic games and has 10 World Championship medals, including two gold medals and numerous World Cup medals.
As we all know, Paralympians do not receive the same type of support that non-disabled athletes do. It comes down to grassroots support to ensure our local Paralympic heroes get the necessary equipment and support they need to be successful. That is why I am starting a gofundme page for Alicia. We want to help Alicia get a new gravel bike so that we can get her off of the busy paved roads and onto some quieter local dirt roads. She has already secured a significant grant for the majority of the cost of the bike. We need to help her with the last $2500. I hope you can chip in to get this local superstar on the equipment she needs to be safe and successful as she continues to pursue her passion for cycling.
