My name is Alex, and some of the Honeoye community may know who I am.

Over the course of the last two years, I've had to move often. This time, I have nowhere to go. There's been a major family issue, one that I can't share details about. After the events occurred, I packed a suitcase with clothes and left. I'm currently somewhere safe, but I can't stay here forever. My mother is with me during this hard time, and we're trying to find a place to live together with our two cats. We've been searching for places to live and trying to save up money for the last couple of weeks, but we always hit a dead end. We've tried applying for assisted housing, but we both make too much, so DSS has no way of helping us. We don't have many family members we can stay with, but we're making it work for the time being.

We could really use the community's help if anyone is willing to. The money we raise will be going towards an apartment and expenses or hopefully a homeowner loan which we're trying to get approved for, but many places have told us we need 8-10 thousand dollars in one of our bank accounts to even get preapproved for a loan. We're both constantly working, but it never seems to be enough. Any help is greatly appreciated.
