My contractor began his own business and his first job was finishing my basement. He had been working on my basement for well over a month and had subsequent jobs lined up. Alex is an electrician by trade, and him and his wife were excited to be starting their very own business. Although he had been working full-time, he had enough work by word of mouth to keep him busy for the remainder of the 2023 year. On one of the last days of his work in my basement, Alex was involved in a motorcycle accident at no fault of his own. A woman pulled out in front of him with no time to react. This left Alex with a broken tibia and fibula. Last Thursday night he was in surgery while the doctors worked to put his leg back together. Alex is using a walker and the doctors inform him that he is not to put any weight on his leg for a minimum of 6 weeks. This obviously puts a hamper on his ability to work and make money for his business and his family. His wife Amanda is home taking care of her husband and the 2 children in the home. Being a business owner is a risk, but when you are as talented as Alex Syquia is, you take that risk and begin your contracting business. However, this accident has Alex out of work for at least 6 weeks and the stressors of how to ensure that his family is taken care of. Of course, there is no good time for an accident, however, this happened right at the holidays. Please help me in helping this family out!
