My name is Alex and I am 35 years old. I have had an interesting life with many ups and downs including drug addiction and moving to a foreign country with basically the clothes on my back and a guitar and no knowledgeof the language or culture. Even though I am working 6-7 days a week (mostly relying on tips) it is impossible to afford rent for even a studio apartment even in a rough neighborhood. I am currently living with my father and I hate being a drain on him. He has gone above and beyond for me even though he does not have to do so. But he isnt in the best financial spot himself. Every time I save a bit of money, my car has to go to the mechanic or I need to go to the dentist. I do not have insurance or any government assistance. I try everyday to help those that I can and believe I have a huge heart and WILL do good in this world regardless of my situation. I hope that I will be able to get a little help to get my own place and start to save money to reach my long term goal of opening an animal shelter or help people and animals any way I can.
