Dear all,
On the morning of Saturday 28th June, a valued member of our WSPO family, Aasha Salgado, was having breakfast in her family home when she and her daughter were alerted by the sound of the smoke alarm. When heading down the hall to see what had triggered the alarm, they were met with flames coming from the wall of the main bedroom. A fire had started from the electrical box of her property and within seconds had continued to spread through the home.
Aasha and her daughter had no time to grab personal belongings, they focused on their safety and the safety of the family pets.
Aasha and her family are now needing to start over. New clothes, new furniture, new electronics, everything, from scratch.
To support Aasha and her family, a Go Fund Me page has been established to help support the ‘new start’ the Salgado family will be navigating.
Whilst we can’t comprehend the severity and impact of this devastating event, we can all play a small part in contributing to her fresh start by giving Aasha the confidence that we, her work family, are here to support her.
I’m sure that any amount you can give to this cause will be greatly appreciated by the Salgado family and no amount is ever too little.
