Donate to help a wounded penniless homeless man

My name is Steve Owen. I have befriended a homeless person who is in desperate need of financial help. This 58 year old gentleman has had a series of misfortunes that have left him homeless and penniless. A little over a year ago, he had a number of small strokes. In May, he was working and fell off a ladder and broke his shoulder, so he could no longer work. He had to sell his few possessions until he finally lived in the bed of his truck with a broken shoulder -- thankfully it was summer. He is diabetic and a couple of months ago contracted an infection in his right calf. He developed three large holes in his leg (largest 3" x 2") and at one point was told he might lose his leg. He is not out of the woods yet, still with large leg holes. He endured a 61 day hospital stay -- they tried to find a nursing home in the area for his rehabilitation but they could not. He was pushed out of the hospital and was going to have to return to living in his truck in the dead of winter. Instead my wife and I have placed him in a rental house living with my stepson, for the time being. He has no money, although we are trying to help him sign up for government disability. He has many medical expenses, and can't pay for rent, utilities, etc., not to mention miscellaneous expenses for life's enjoyment that most of us take for granted. My wife and I would be grateful if you can donate any money towards his situation, and we would make sure all proceeds go straight to him.
