For the past two years, I have been going to school on St. Kitts to become a veterinarian, which has been a dream I have been working toward since I was a young girl. The journey has been a long one, and making the decision to move to an island in the Caribbean by myself was challenging, but I was able to meet such genuine people who share the same passion as well as going through the journey with one of the best humans alive, who I can never show how much I appreciate, Maddie. I would not change the memories I have made with my friends and peers for the world.

Unfortunately, last month, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer and have had to take a pause on pursuing my passion to go through treatment. Based on the stage, size of the mass, and the characteristics of the cancer, chemo is needed to help my body get it under control before surgery is possible.

Ross is a great accelerated school, but it means I have not been able to work for the last two years and have had to rely on student loans, which is not a great way to become financially okay to handle unexpected medical bills. If it is possible to donate to help with the medical bills while I go through chemotherapy, it would help out so, so much. The faster I can kick cancer's butt, the faster I can go back to pursuing my passion and making it a better place for people and their pets. I have also attached an Amazon registry to help with the little things for the chemo treatments if that is easier to donate to.
