help a family of 3; lost property to house fire

Hi, my name is David Ajayi, a married man blessed with a wonderful wife and a lovely son (18 months old). A resident of 23 Falshire Place Northeast, Calgary, Canada.

On the 15th of August 2024, we lost all our properties in a fire outbreak at our rented apartment. The fire started from the main floor, and we live in the basement.

The fire had been on for over 20 mins before I and my son escaped. My wife was out earlier in the morning to some appointments.

My son and I were actually taking afternoon nap when the fire started, thankfully the neighbor upstairs knocked our door so loud that woke me from sleep so I was able to escape - if not, we would have suffocated from the thick dark carbon monoxide & eventually get caught up in the fire.

We lost all our belongings to this fire outbreak, the only thing I had on me was a Tshirt and 3-quarter shorts, and my son just with the outfit on him before the nap without shoes.

I had lost my job recently, so have been job hunting and my wife just got out of maternity and seeking employment too.

Right now, we do not have money to sustain our living especially now that we lost all properties to this fire outbreak.
