Hi folks, my name is Jess and I am in my fourth year of earning my BS in Environmental Engineering at Drexel. Last fall, I was unable to complete my credits due to severe health issues, and although I didn’t lose my academic scholarships, I lost my PHEAA grant, which is awarded to low-income students so long as they finish a minimum amount of credits each term. I was unaware of this deduction in my financial assistance and now have an unpaid balance on my account which restricts me from registering for classes in the winter and finishing my degree. I have been supporting myself since I was eighteen, and although I have two part-time jobs, I barely make enough to pay for my monthly living expenses, let alone an extra $3500 that I didn’t plan for. I’ve been fighting so hard the last 3 years to balance school full-time, working, and maintaining a healthy relationship with myself and loved ones, so I am searching for any means possible to keep going. Anything helps, even just a share! Thank you :)
