Donate to help a destitute man have a home and a life.

I am Richard G. Beemer, editor, author, and servant. I and others in Huntington County, Indiana, have been helping a man with mental issues survive. He lives 8 miles from me on the outskirts of Lancaster, Indiana, on a piece of property in the basement of a house that burned to the ground yesterday, Jan. 7, 2025. The house above ground was unlivable for a human. It was dilapidated and contained creatures such as squirrels, raccoons, rats, and God knows what else. He hasn't bathed in years and lives on the common goodness of others. He refuses to leave his property for fear of having himself institutionalized and his property confiscated. He is a proud, stubborn man of about 60 years old. My wish is to raise $150,000 to place a mobile home on the property and install utilities so he can live somewhat comfortably. I'll also need funds to pay his utilities, and I am hopeful that once he is settled in, we'll find him a car, renew his license, and help him secure employment. This won't be an easy challenge, but I am determined that with the help of God, others in the community, and generous people from all over, we can put this man's life back in order.
