AUGUST 1ST IS THE DEADLINE
I hate to ask, but I don't have help from family to get by this month with rent. The total cost of my rent and utilities will be $1,500, and I only have around $570. I barely have enough to even feed myself and my cats. I spent the rest of what I could to take care of my cats over myself.
I am scared and frustrated. I've tried extremely hard to hold down employment, and nothing's come of it. Writing down countless jobs to call back in the next few days, barely getting by with DoorDash, and how humiliating it is to do that kind of gig when every place I walk into looks at me with disgust for not having a 'real' job. I've had everyone I know revise my resume countless times and reapplied to places more than twice, not even a response back. I work hard every day to advertise art commissions, but my audience isn't big enough to get me anywhere right now.
My girlfriend got a job the last week of this month and doesn't get paid in time to cover rent, and if we don't get help, we are screwed and homeless. Her family isn't willing to help, and we applied for a loan and got rejected due to our low credit. That's simply because we just moved out for the first time and haven't had a chance to build good credit yet. We are both 19 and trying our best to do whatever we can. When we first moved out, she popped a tire, and we had to get that replaced. It took a lot of our saved-up money, only for her tire to get a nail stuck in it just a few weeks later, and we had to get it fixed again. On top of that, her car oil needed to be changed as soon as possible, and she wouldn't be able to get to work without transportation.
Any donation will help, even if I don't reach the goal I set. Literally, every cent will go to rent, I can promise you that, and I'd be eternally grateful!
