Hi, my name is Gina, and I’m a rescuer from Brooklyn.
On May 22, I was notified about a cat who had been hit by a car and left unable to move for hours. When I arrived, several adults were standing around watching him suffer, but no one was helping. I brought him to the vet immediately, where X-rays showed a broken leg and fractured pelvis.
We waited a few days to see if there was nerve damage, and thankfully he is able to urinate and defecate on his own, meaning he is now eligible for surgery to repair his leg while his pelvis heals.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford the surgery alone while caring for many other rescue animals in need of medical care. If anyone can donate anything at all, I would be incredibly grateful. Any extra funds will go toward vet bills for other rescued cats needing dental work, eye surgeries, and spay/neuter care.
Thank you for caring and sharing.
