I was in a terrible accident last June.

I was on my way home from a motorcycle ride when a young, distracted child hit me at 40 miles an hour. I was life-flighted to a trauma center because my left leg was severely mangled. The surgeon said it needed to be rebuilt like a puzzle, repairing muscles, tendons, ligaments, rods, and screws.

After insurance company litigation, I received only $130,000 in personal injury payment, $100,000 from my own insurance policy.

My lawyer and I estimate that all the medical bills, rehabilitation, hospital stay, home nurse, home therapy, and other expenses will cost me approximately $450,000. I’m 58 years old and already disabled permanently, living on Social Security.

I feel odd asking for help, but GoFundMe is my only chance to raise funds to pay these bills.
