How You Can Help
We are raising funds to cover the cost of Roxy’s surgery, medications, and recovery care. Every donation—big or small—will go directly to giving this brave mama the chance at a pain-free life, with Milo by her side.
Please consider donating or sharing Roxy and Milo’s story. Together, we can give them the happy, safe future they deserve. We are estimating her costs to be 3-4K, including surgery and rehab, and it could be more if she needs a specialist.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
Help Roxy & Milo: A Brave Mama Dog’s Fight to Heal
On Sunday evening, we discovered a young mama dog and her puppy outside a gas station. They were starving, covered in fleas and ticks, with open wounds, and fighting to survive. Despite all of that, their sweet personalities still shone through. Leaving them on the streets wasn’t an option. They faced nightly attacks from other strays, and it was clear they didn't have long.
With the help of Dr. Andrew Atuan, a local Atlanta vet, we were able to get them cleaned up, medicated, and stabilized. But as the days passed, it became clear that Roxy wasn’t healing—she struggled to walk and carried a painful limp. X-rays revealed the heartbreaking truth: her femur is completely broken, and she carries the scars of multiple gunshot wounds. It is nothing short of a miracle that she is alive and even more incredible that, through it all, she never stopped protecting and caring for her puppy, Milo.
Roxy is only 1.5 years old, and Milo is just a few months. They have their whole lives ahead of them. But right now, Roxy needs surgery so she can walk again, heal properly, and live without constant pain. Despite her resilience, it’s clear she hurts with every step, and we want to give her the chance to run and play like any dog should.
