Hello! I'm Hayes, a 22-year-old transgender man living in Salt Lake City. I have been on testosterone for a little under two years now, but publicly started transitioning in 2022. I personally have always hated the lumps on my chest, and now I have it scheduled for October 30, 2025!️⚧️️⚧️️⚧️
I personally am trying to keep up with lots of different payments at the moment and would like to ask for some help; it's just really hard for me to do. I am going to be reaching my insurance out-of-pocket maximum (THANK GOD), so I'll only have to pay $4000 total for my top surgery. Sadly, with how many doctors I see for my HRT alone, that number is basically cut in half.
After they schedule my top surgery, they are also going to be giving me a hysterectomy, and (luckily) that will be fully covered under my insurance. My biggest focus is getting the top surgery done ASAP, and then everything will fall into place after that.
I would continue to tape and bind my chest, but doing those long term cause health issues, including bruised ribs from the binder and blisters and other skin problems from the tape used to hold my chest back. The top surgery would eliminate any chance for those unnecessary and uncomfortable problems to occur.
That was a lot of filler, so back the main topic of conversation: Help with my surgery. I struggle immensely with asking for help, but I feel like if I ever needed to ask for help with anything, this is it. Instead of birthday or Christmas presents for me this year, my biggest ask is if you could help with my surgery costs? This is going to be a HUGE benefit to not only my physical health, but mental health as well.
Like I said, the money will only be used to pay for the medical costs for the surgeon, anesthesia, facility, etc. I appreciate you taking the time to read this!
