I am a retired employee of a great family business known as the Eastern Lift Truck Company. My long-time friend and co-worker, Harry Carney, also just recently retired in late December, hoping to start his next big adventure in retirement. Just last Sunday, an infection had taken off like a bullet and threatened his life, so a very tough decision was made to save that life but also caused a permanent disability that upends everything. When he eventually arrives home, the challenges are many. Getting into his home is number one, as well as making the home handicapped accessible.

Harry is a proud man with a very big presence and a heart to match. Much can be done to the home before he is released from rehabilitation, which we expect would be weeks if not months. On behalf of his family, friends, and former coworkers, please give what you can to show your support.
