My name is Harley Caudill. I am 34 years old. I just lost my papa, Austin Tharp, who raised me like his own. It truly took a toll on me.It has been a hard and very impactful end of the year.inam spending my holidays mourning my grandfather who was my dad, and alsotrying to heal from the grousome, painful, and harsh diagnosis and treatment I am endouring now. I started getting sick, had really bad pains in my chest, and my heart started running a fever. But my biggest problem was my ankle and knee, where I had injured it. Apparently, coming into the hospital, my blood pressure was so low it was 90 over 40, and my heart rate was 150. They admitted me into the hospital with septic embolisms in my lungs, which are blood clots in the lungs. I also have acute endocarditis with leaky heart valves that are infected, and acute kidney injury, and my kidneys were shutting down. I will be in the hospital dealing with more issues than what I just said for about another four weeks of horrible IV antibiotics, terrible blood sticks, and not being able to breathe properly. It has been so hard to keep up financially with what I need inside and outside of here. I am begging for prayers more than anything, but also my Medicaid got canceled, and now we're having to put out money to take care of this long stay after December 21st when I finish my IV antibiotic. We are scared we are going to have to fix my leaky heart valves. I am asking and praying for any help at all that can go towards anything that I need while I'm in here—any meds, any food, anything that helps along the way. I appreciate everyone so much. I pray that my body heals, and my heart mends from the lost of my papa.
