We wanted to reach out and share an update on our dear friend Hannah. Back in January, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor called right optic glioma. Since then, she's been incredibly brave, going through chemotherapy at NYU Hassenfeld Children's Hospital. Unfortunately, the treatment has really affected her appetite, and she's lost quite a bit of weight. Recently, she also got diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1, which has added even more challenges for her and her family.
Kenisha and Nick, Hannah's parents, have been incredible throughout all of this. They're facing huge financial strain from the treatment costs, commuting back and forth, and the unexpected closure of Kenisha's job without any severance. It's been tough for them to keep up with bills, not to mention their younger daughter Ellie's school and therapy expenses.
Speaking of Ellie, she's been such a support to Hannah. Despite everything going on, she's doing her best at school and her activities. But there's a real worry about her having to switch schools due to financial reasons, which would be really tough on her during such a crucial time.
We know that Hannah's illness isn't just affecting her immediate family—it's touching everyone who cares about them. Siblings like Ellie often go through a lot emotionally during times like these, and it's important to us that she has all the support she needs to keep thriving.
If you're able to help in any way—whether it's a donation, sharing their story, or just sending some words of encouragement—it would mean the world to them. They have all the necessary paperwork to show just how much they're dealing with financially and medically.
Thank you so much for considering how you can support them during this incredibly tough time. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference.
