Hi friends, family, and pizza & ice cream lovers everywhere—

We’re Michael and Amanda Minto, proud owners of Mama Minto’s Pizzeria, a small-town pizza shop in the heart of Iva, South Carolina—a town with just one traffic light and a whole lot of love. Since opening in January 2018, our mission has been to serve up hand-tossed pizza, homemade marinara, and over 21 delicious homemade ice cream flavors with one secret ingredient: love.

This dream began long before 2018—with my grandmother, Vera Minto, who always wanted to open a pizza shop but never had the chance. Her memory lives on in every recipe we serve, and her image is proudly our logo. She even got to roll dough with us when we opened—making this dream extra special.

Two years later, we launched Vera’s Delights, our very own homemade ice cream shop, and the community welcomed it with open arms.

Mama Minto’s is not just a restaurant. It’s a place where families gather, friends connect, and kids grow up with full hearts and full bellies. Our own daughters, Lauren and Lilly, grew up in the back of the shop, surrounded by books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and inspired by Dolly's message of kindness, hope, and community.

Our New Dream: A Rebuilt Mama Minto’s for the Next Generation

We’re now embarking on our biggest journey yet—rebuilding and expanding Mama Minto’s Pizzeria to better serve our community and provide a space where families can come together like never before.

Here’s what the new Mama Minto’s will include:

A brand new building with expanded seating for families and friends to gather

The first-ever indoor playhouse in Iva, inspired by Dolly Parton, celebrating her passion for children, family, and imagination

‍ A special conference room where kids and families can take part in hands-on pizza-making and dough-rolling classes

An even bigger space for Vera’s Delights, with new flavors and more sweet memories

A warm, inviting space rooted in faith, love, and community connection
