Thank you for the donations!!
We are renting a van for our next pop up shops on June 3rd and June 7th. It will be nice to have more room. I seem to be able to fit things in our SUV on the way to a show, just barely, but getting everything back in is really hard. I think I'm too tired. A bungy cord held the back door closed our first day. Luckily we were close to home.
Elijah and I have started a small mobile book, toy, and gift shop called Forever Young: Special People, Special Gifts. Elijah is graduating from high school and wanted to work at a bookstore, so we started one that we could do together. After two events, we are really enjoying spending time together, reading books, and spreading good vibes.
We feature books highlighting people with disabilities, handmade items by individuals with disabilities, and used books and toys collected by life skills programs and used to fund community outings. We add some fun retro toys and books around an event theme and set up a pop-up shop.
What we really need is a bigger vehicle for our mobile store. It is a real challenge to fit all our cool stuff in our small SUV.
