Donate to Gregg Krinke's Medical Journey

Hey Peeps, it's the one and only Angle Dangle and I'm arranging this on behalf of Gregg Krinke. I met Gregg in 2016 at my daughter's state dance tournament. His Mom, Lois, was my daughter's dance coach for the Faribault Emeralds. She asked if he could sit next to me at the tournament and I said, "sure, why not". Well, I see why he was sat next to me as he's a bit much. I tell people we met because his mom paid me to be his friend. Many of you know Gregg from school, sports, coaching, work, his parents etc and know that he's the first one to help and give the shirt off his back. Well, Gregg now is the one that needs some help and if you know him, he will not ask.
Thirteen years ago Gregg was a recipient of a donor heart and underwent a transplant. After years of good health and having a somewhat normal life his heart started slowly and quietly failing as his body started rejecting the heart. Now Gregg is experiencing rejection along with failing kidneys. He has been on dialysis 3 days a week for that last few months. Recently he underwent chemo treatments along with plasma treatments both aimed at erasing and resetting the rejection along with the donor DNA that is causing the heart to fail. He continued to have dialysis along with the 2 other treatments while in the hospital. Here's where you come into play and can help. Gregg's insurance pays 75% of the chemo cost leaving him with the remained that needs to be paid BEFORE he can have is second round. He will be needing a third round as well. Anything that can be donated will help him continue the life changing treatments that can give his body time. He will in the very near future need a heart and kidney transplant. This is the reason he recently announced his retirement from coaching football. The one constant he had in life and the reason (beside his kids) to get up every day and keep going.
If you can donate your time, reach out and see what help he needs (rides to dialysis, food dropped off, a friend to hang out with and talk to etc). If you can donate anything monetary it will be greatly appreciated as Gregg appreciates all of the support from people he considers family.
Thank you again,
Angel
NEW UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that has reached out, donated and expressed concern for Gregg and his medical journey. Today, 2/20 Gregg went back to Abbott to have blood drawn along with testing for antibodies and donor DNA to determine whether or not the first round of chemo is working at eradicating the rejection and influx of donor DNA. Thus determining the next steps and course of action for the second round of chemo relevant to the amount and duration needed of the treatment. Today's results should come back next week and Gregg will then be back in the hospital shortly thereafter. We are close to his goal so this gofundme will remain open for another week. Again, thank you all for helping take some of the stress away so Gregg can concentrate on using his energy towards fighting this battle.
NEW UPDATE: 2/28 Thank you to everyone that has reached out, donated and expressed concern for Gregg and his medical journey. With your generous help, Gregg has met his fundraising goal! As he waits for round 2 of chemo at Abbott (UofM is processing all bloodwork and is backlogged) the stress of paying for life changing chemo is no longer a burden. He is able to concentrate and focus all of his attention on the continuing journey of adding more time until he can get a heart/kidney transplant. Please pray that the chemo removes some of the health obstacles standing in the way of keeping this good person/father/son/brother/friend and occasional pain in the butt around for years to come.
