Donate to Gracie's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
The daughter of our good friend and co-worker recently suffered a tragic fireworks accident. Christa is always there when a friend is in need, it's our turn to be there to lend a hand to the Brown family! This last 4th of July, Gracie's right hand was severely injured resulting in an extended hospital stay, several surgeries (more to come) and intensive therapy.
In the coming months, Gracie will be fitted with a prosthesis and continue to work towards regaining as much movement and functionality in her hand as possible. Help us support the Brown family by making a donation to help cover some of the medical costs that have already begun piling up (bill for the first stay was > $170k). Thanks in advance for your support!

***Update***
Gracie has shown incredible strength and resilience during this challenging time. Despite the difficulties, she has been diligently attending doctor's appointments, undergoing various procedures like pin removals, and actively participating in physical therapy and mobility exercises.
Fortunately, they have started to notice a decrease in the swelling in her hand, which prompted the need for new brace fittings. As the swelling continues to subside and the remaining pins are removed from her hand and wrist, Gracie will be able to work closely with hand specialists to support her journey towards prosthetics. Of course, it is crucial for her to be fully healed before being fitted for the prosthetic device.
Jon and Christa have been there every step of the way. They have taken on the challenging task of navigating the complex American medical system, handling administrative burdens, coordinating referrals, planning ahead, and managing medical records, among other things. The path to recovery is becoming a bit more clear every day, thank you for your ongoing support!
