Donate to Give Toonie a Fighting Chance

My name is Heather and I'd like to introduce you to Neptune (Toonie). Toon had a rough start in life he was found in Waukegan, Wi chained to a dumpster in winter. He was severely underweight and had frost bite. He will never grow hair on the tips of his ears and he still doesn't like the underside of his neck being touched (but he will let you because he loves you!). Toon was attacked by another dog at one point and needed emergency care due to an infection. By all counts toon has thr right to hate people and other dogs, but he doesn't. He hasn't met a person or dog he hasn't loved immediately. Not to bad for a dog that had no idea how to dog. He didn't even know how to play with toys!

Luckily for Toon he landed with a great momma who has an amazing tribe of animal loving people, and we have been showing Toonie all he missed and giving all the best. Last year Toon got really sick turns out he has diabetes insidious, so now he takes medicine twice a day. We got him over that, just to find out he has a mass in his anal glads - suspected cancer. This poor boy can't catch a break! And frankly neither can his momma. She was working with rescue that offered to help with his bills (she does fund raising for them every year!), but not only have they bailed in her but they were incredibly rude and mean to her when they told her. They just got a million dollar grant and now that they don't need her anymore they dropped her. Shame on them!!!

However Angela from Forget Me Not Animal Rescue, Inc NFP has stepped up to help with fundraising and the bills.

So we are asking anyone who can donate to please do! Even if it is .50 every penny counts! Please help us continue showing Toonie that no matter how his life started he is very, very loved and deserves the chance to have a healthy long life!
