Hi - As you may or may not know or remember, when Roxie was a pup, I found out that she had a birth defect. She was born without a sternum and without a diaphragm. Her organs are not where they belong, and the only thing between her heart and the outside world is skin. That she has not had a respiratory emergency is a miracle. This has led to a VERY sheltered and protected life. I have needed to keep her safe till she is fully grown and corrective surgery can be performed. They need to insert a titanium plate to act as a sternum, and surgical mesh to hold her organs where they belong in her body.

I found out last week that the surgery would cost between $10,000 and $14,000. This is truly beyond my ability, and I am hoping you might be able to lend a hand. Any amount will help. Help me help Roxie live a full and active life. Sending love and gratitude - Michael
