Hi, I’m Olivia and I’m 26 years old. I have a rare type of stage 2 cervical cancer, which means once I start treatment, I will never be able to carry a child. I have been blessed with an opportunity to have my eggs removed before I start chemo, radiation, and immunotherapy in November. However, my insurance declined coverage and now if we want any chance at having a biological child, we have to pay out of pocket.
If you know me, you know I love children. I work for Cabarrus County Schools with children who have disabilities, and work is my happy place. I love my students and they love me; they bring me so much joy every day. I have wanted to be pregnant my entire life, so it hurts me to know that I will never be able to carry a child. It gives me so much hope knowing I can be a mother AND a cancer survivor with assistance from you guys.
With the help of my doctor, I’m receiving help from Livestrong, an organization for infertile women, and the Heartbeat Association. With their help and discounts, it costs 10k in total for one round of IVF. The plan is to freeze our embryos until after my treatment is completed. An embryo is my biological child already conceived with my spouse, Nicholas, who is also working hard to help as much as he can with making our dreams possible. I only have time for ONE round of IVF. If you have any questions or suggestions or want evidence, please do not hesitate to call, text, or email me. Any dollar or cent is very appreciated and will help.
I honestly did not want to tell everyone that I have cancer and that I can’t carry a child. My whole life I’ve believed my purpose is to create a life and love him or her unconditionally no matter what, you know? Cure generational curses and build generational wealth. I never thought I would need to be cured. My story has been written and I accept it. I will make the most of it and do everything in my power to make my dreams come true, including disclosing my personal information so that we can get help. I love you all and I honestly appreciate your time. Thank you for reading this far. Thank you for donating and helping my dreams come true. Thank you for taking a chance and believing that I deserve to be a mother too.
