Hi, My name is Lee Wilkins. I'm currently a door dash driver who has been living in her car last for the two months. I left my 5 year financially supporting relationship after discovering some very hurtful long term lies from my partner just a couple days after father's day 2025.

I lived in my car for awhile, then went to stay with my grown, pagan daughter. Needless to say it didn't go well. It started out okay while I helped her catch up on her bills, but eventually, no matter how much I was throwing in to help, it wasn't enough to overcome her deep hatred of all things Christian, including me.

I moved back into my car the last week of February 2026 and as of April 23, 2026, am still living in my car, working 6 to 14 days a week, with one stretch of 30+ days in a row.

I'm an honest woman, hard working and a born again Christian, faithfully devoted to God, prayer and service. I have multiple sclerosis and am a medical Marijuana patient. The limitations from those have made it very hard to find a regular job that pays enough for me to afford housing on top of my regular monthly expenses of $850 after fuel and car maintenance expenses. (That doesn't even consider the cost of herbal meds to mange my condition or the cost of feeding myself)

Right now, I work door dash from 7-8 am to anywhere from 4 to 8 pm six days a week. Sundays I devote to serving in music ministry, both in the church and independently. But some Sundays I still find myself having to work a full day after church is over.

I recieved government benefits of SSI, healthcare, and foodstamps from July 2010 to February 2019. However, when I had a good remission phase, I voluntarily went back to work part time in October 2018, just to see if I could do a little better for myself. I did all the required reporting, and the ssa's response was to send me a letter in February 2019 telling me I was no longer disabled and they were ending all my benefits effective immediately. I started working for Dominos in May 2019 and gave them full time service until my body started relapsing again in early 2021. I entered a relationship in March 2020 and by 2021 he became my greatest financial support when I shifted from Dominos to full time app delivery service, due to my less productive flesh and increasing limitations. But, he was dishonest about being divorced, amoung some other things too private to share, and my spiritual convictions moved me to end the relationship in June 2025.

At the end of the week, I am usually not hungry or thirsty, and my bills are usually paid, but I have nothing left over for shelter with a real bed. I sleep in the back of my car near one of the local lakes at night. but with the rising cost of fuel and the declining rate of customer tips, everything is starting to fall apart. Tomorrow's car payment will cause my bank to overdraft, and I did not have dinner tonight. I am exausted.

I have a messy history. A cousin introduced me to Methamphetamines in January 2014, and I went off the deep end of addiction until I had a powerful spiritual experience on January 18, 2018. I have been clean and sober since then, and working to be a self sustaining, born again Christian, disabled member of society, utilizing app delivery services as my only full time income since 2021.

I hate that I've come to this... practically begging through this campaign for help to have a place to call home and feel safe. But I just dont know what else to do in the little rural area I live and work in, with the physical limitations I have.

I'm on my own. I can't get approved for disability, health insurance, or food stamps because they say I earn too much, and they say I can't be too disabled if I'm working 6 days a week 8-12 hours a day Yet, I can't quit working because I have a weekly car payment and it's my only form of shelter, as well as my only source of income, and the last time I applied for disability it took 3 years and multiple appeals to even get benefits awarded

I'm doing all I can with what I have to work with, walking forward in faith and daily repetitive prayer to keep going, just one more day. Clinging to God for my simple survival.

More than financial help, I am praying for work I can perform with my physical limitations that will either pay a wage that will cover my established expenses plus cover shelter... or a job that I can perform that covers my expenses and includes shelter.

I have a YouTube channel that shares more details about my testimony and talks about how God has changed my life, my heart, and the way I live. My channel name there is LeeWilkins7373.

I also self published two books, one in 2016 and one in 2019. Random Whispers is a poetry book conatinimg poems from my high school years through my years of addiction. Random Wisdom; A Journey from Sinner to Servant is my testimony of my journey from and abused and neglected to child to a recovered addict, born again from personal experiences with God. Both books can be found on Amazon or requested at most major book retailers.

I've tried GoFund me in the past and seen very little success. If sending a cash donation is not your choice, please consider subscribing to my YouTube Channel and/or purchasing a copy of one or both of my books, as either one could also help me build a sustainable income.

If nothing else, please pray for me.

If you've read this far, Thank you, and God bless you in all you do
