Hi there, I’m trying to raise move in costs for my baby sister, Jennifer. She was living in a house in Oak Park with roommates. On April 1, Jennifer paid her rent directly to the landlord. The rest of the roommates didn’t. They received a 7 day notice on Easter. My husband and I, with help from our sons, got Jennifer packed up and moved out of there. She has been staying with us and sleeping on our sofa. Today we found an apartment for her. We have been looking since January when we discovered that the roommate who handled the bills was moving out. But we won’t have the move in costs until next month. If we can get the money to move her in immediately, they won’t rent it out to someone else. She will also need furniture and kitchen equipment (dishes, pots and pans, etc.) Please help us get her into her own place so that she can have the dignity of independence again.
