Hi my name is Dea and I am soon to turn 18. In my culture, the filipino culture, turning 18 is a rite of passage that requires a big event to celebrate my coming of age, much like a quinceñera or a bat mitzvah. But organising a big event is very expensive and I cannot afford to pay for it as I have other financial commitments that I cannot control. I also live in a single parent house hold which makes earning and saving money extremely hard.

As a disabled, woman of colour living in a deprived area, it is very hard to find a place to celebrate this event for a cheap price.

So please, invest in this with me and together we can throw the best party that will be talked about for years to come.

If you don’t want to do it for me, do it for the culture, for those who want to come to this event and to get the best experience of what my culture offers.
