Help Our Family Immigrate to Spain and Rebuild Our Future
Hi, my name is Gissel, and I’m reaching out with hope and humility.
After 12 years of living in New York City, my husband, our 14-year-old daughter, and I made the difficult decision to leave the United States and return to Honduras. We self-deported — not because we wanted to, but because we believed it was the most responsible and dignified choice given our circumstances.
Now, we are working toward a new dream: immigrating to Spain so I can continue my education and give my family the chance at a stable and secure future. I hold a bachelor’s degree in law and have over 10 years of experience working as a nanny and personal assistant. My goal is to complete my master’s degree in Spain and begin a new chapter that offers opportunity, safety, and a better life for my daughter.
But starting over is incredibly hard. We are currently in Honduras, rebuilding from the ground up, and every day is a challenge. We’re doing everything we can to prepare for our move — gathering documents, applying for visas, and searching for housing and schools — but we’re facing serious financial obstacles.
Your support would help
• Initial housing and resettlement costs in Spain
• My tuition and materials for my master’s degree
Any contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to a stable and hopeful future. If you’re not able to donate, sharing our story means just as much.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and helping us move toward a new beginning.
With love and gratitude,
Gissel, Linabella & Gera
