This fundraiser is for Chuck Tarbay. He has been a part of the cycling community most of his life in the surrounding areas, and if you or anybody you know is part of the New York cycling community, then they have heard of him. Chuck has served his community in many ways; from his service in the NAVY, his work for the Capital District Scottish Games, being commander of the local American Legion, to volunteering for NICA and many other organizations in the area. Chuck has given so much to the community without asking for anything in return, and so NICA NY, along with Endless Trails Bikeworx, want to give Chuck a new bike to help him ride easier. He and his wife, Ellen, travel the state volunteering their time, effort, and weekends to support young riders in finding their passion for cycling. Chuck was diagnosed with Parkinson's several years ago, and as the disease has progressed, Chuck hasn't been able to ride like he used to on his current equipment. This fundraiser is to raise funds to cover a new bike for him. The new bike is a Marlin 8+. The bike is an e-bike to help assist him in getting around with his Parkinson's. With this new bike, he would be able to get around at the race events better, better support the events, and also get better exercise out on the trails again. This bike would be the means to get him back out to the trails and back to one of the sports he has always loved. His current bike is many years old and has not seen many upgrades to keep him on the trails.

It would be great to have the sport he gives so much to give back to him.

We hope to earn enough to give it to him by the NICA NY fundraiser event in September.
